Allisonville third grade teacher, Mr. Tyler McCreary and his wife Ashley were recently both inducted into the Lawrence Central High School Wall of Fame. In addition to teaching at Allisonville, Mr. McCreary is also currently the Head Boys and Girls Cross Country Coach at North Central High School. Four years ago, while teaching at Allisonville, Mr. McCreary was then the Cross Country and Track Coach at Lawrence Central. During that year,  Lawrence Central won a State Championship under his leadership. Last year, Mr. McCreary was hired away from Lawrence Central, and became the North Central High School Head Cross Country Coach. He was inducted into the Lawrence Central High School Wall of Fame, as both a member of a State Championship Team (he finished 2nd in the 1600 as a student athlete) and as a coach.

Mr. McCreary’s wife Ashley is currently a Kindergarten teacher at Greenbriar. Mrs. McCreary was a member of the Lawrence Central State Championship Gymnastics Team and won 4 individual State Championships and 5 runners-up in gymnastics.

One generation removed, Mrs. McCreary’s mother (and Tyler’s mother-in-law) is Allisonville’s wonderful first grade teacher Karin Jacob. Mrs. Jacob is a North Central graduate and won two State Gymnastics Championships at NCHS in 1976-1977, and finished 2nd in state (individual) in 1978.

In 2013, Mrs. Jacob’s younger daughter Allison, visited Allisonville for Literacy Night, just after she was crowned the 2013 500 Festival Queen.
